"SOLID no-frills Meat and Three style Cafeteria. Was greeted by a friendly smiling staff who were eager to help. Short line where you grab your tray and utensils, then you are served as you order. Pay in the cafe line, then sit where you like. Tender and crispy fried chicken and the beans and cole slaw were hitting. Plenty of Tea on hand to wash it down!!!! Thanks and God Bless!"

"Best place in Athens for old school breakfast food. Extremely popular for takeout food on the way to work. My favorites are their bacon & egg biscuit and sausage gravy biscuit. I always try a sausage gravy biscuit everywhere I go that has one (even when traveling), and I can easily say that Strickland's has the best one. They also serve lunch, but I rarely get a chance to go during that timeframe, so I can't comment much as to their lunch offerings. I do have friends that love it, though. There can be a decent sized line at times, but they are usually very efficient and quickly move the line along, so waits are usually minimal."
